i disagree with you
I contacted my MP twice once in August and last time in december and he gave me precise info on my file in fact he told me that they expect to finnish my file before the end of Jan 2013 and I completed my landing on Jan 25

All this was done by his assistant in Calgary
And both times Received an answer from him within 1 business day

I don't rely on other forums or others word of mouth Im based on my personal experience

Hello Glowing Heart,

I tried sending you a PM but it wouldn't go through. Can you kindly send me the contact information for the MP in Calgary.I have been in Calgary since 2010 and applied through FSW in November 2011. i haven't received MR till date.

Thanks

News for some:-Immigration backlog is reduced by 40%
They should provide the data to support this as well. I think they are just trying to justify opening up new applications in May without clearing the backlog.

It can be possible but we should remember they have officially announced that before the end of 2014 they will process all FSW or backlogged applications.Since they have made such a strong statement and we have seen couple of people getting passport requests in this thread ,we have to believe them.Maybe ,they will share some data as and when they can.It will probably take some time to compile and disclose data publicly. However, had they been efficient then they could have compiled data and alongside this news could have disclosed data.

it all depends what part of calgary you live

follow this link and enter your postal code

I dont know how long it takes for MR for me it was 2 years and then the PPR was a year later but all timelines are different I was FSW3 (thouht it was FSW2 but my permanent resident card says FSW3) so I dont know if that has something to do with it or not

good luck and stay on top of your work permit renew it way ahead of time cause you never know when the PR will finnish processing I went trough 2 renovations and 1 change of employer in my 3 years waiting time

and Go Flames Go !

thanks

It all makes sense: FSW backlog at the end of 2012 was 91 403, intake per year is 55 000. Till the end of 2014 they will process 110 000 applications, all that were in backlog in 2012 + 20k others.

Guys,

I have applied under FSW2 - Arrange employment in year 2011 May and got my Aor in August. Do you think I should/ would hear soon. I have an appointment with my MP office this Monday and will see how does that help.

I saw some movements few months back but it seems slow down again...

Please share your details if you hear anything from Ottawa.

I am also asking my lawyer to put forward an inquiry...

Hello all,

Is here anybody, who recently was asked to submit the updated proof of settlement funds, and received their PPR? Just want to have a rough idea of timeline after submission of updated docs.
Thank you

You are MI2, all the people even from the end of 2010 still wait for MR (except one case, that was probably processes by mistake). Most of MI2 people expect MR by the end of the summer.

It doesn't really make that much sense because when applications start arriving in May, those guys would have to wait for at least two years since the minister has said all new applications would go to the end of the queue. And again just because the yearly quota is 55000 doesn't automatically equate to the actual number that can be processed.
