It appears CIC is working on May 2010 applicants (and possibly the last set of pre-june files). See avarava23 got his Dec 15 and now yours, Dec 18. Since many post june were processed, hopefully thet might want to jump to Oct/Nov 2010 guys. Hope my calculation checks in.

Not to disappoint you, but there are a lot of Jan/Feb/March 2010 applicant waiting for updates on their files from ottawa.

it came from my MP I contacted him a few months ago and then again a week a go and he said my case is scheduled to be done by that date
im just assuming its a timeline and all of march will be done by the

You noticed I used the words "might want" ! Anyways it's all in a bid to stay positive - I really don't like killing myself over what I have no control. And hey there are more important things to take care of regardless of whether PR is processed or not. Like I said before, it's healthier and less expensive to stay positive always!

Guys,
MY OPT is finished and i have 60 days to decide.
Either i can go back to India or admission and stay In USA and wait for MY PPR.
Today it has been 8 months my Medicals have been submitted.
Seems very disappointed by CIC.
It has been 32 month since my application. Kind of stuck don't know what to do...
It's only this forum which helps me keep going.
I become very happy when i hear from you guys about anything new. basically PPR gives more happiness.
Happy for all of the people who got their PPRs and Pray for everybody Waiting for it. Hope waiting will end soon for all of us.

I noticed your MP is Mr Kenny. Please try to explore the possibility of squeezing out some more information from him (his office) regarding this conflicting reports about actual processing dates/finalizing applications. I usually just like to wait and not bother myself so much, but I think you could really take the advantage.

I tried but they don't make any comments
I speak with his assistant in Calgary and he doesn't give me any more info than the status of my case and the date it should be finished
thats all he tells me

well, hopefully the pending of the new FSW 2013 application acceptance to May 4, 2013 instead of January 2, 2013 will give us 2011 applicants better news about our applications. As what I can see is, Ottawa is taking silence to push more backlog into a lesser percent, giving officers 3 more months to work on backlogs rather than accepting new applications which make sense. As applicants has been waiting for too long where some already losses hope and their patience, it is just right to give us priority and the declaration of Open Work Permits available for PR applicants in Canada with PERs is also valuable than just letting the spouses of primary applicant for PR to apply for an OWP. It's about time!!! Hopefully 2013 is the year for us!!!
