This tension of waiting is killing. I got a call from my MP office today that CIC told them that my file is awaiting final approval. I am happy that he didnt say "final review" but technically, that is what it meant and until then, my fingers are fully crossed.

If you have not done so already, send a case specific inquiry to CIC to find out whether they had received your medicals.

I echo alwayspositive, you should contact CIC to ask if they have recieved your medicals. We should not take anything for granted.

not at all, ecas is not a reliable thing. A friend of mine got his PR card and his ECAS was still showing RBVO !

Mine showed that line after 10 weeks. I think you are within striking distance!

I think he should wait for one more week because mine showed up after 10 weeks.
Equally, there are applicants who have already landed but their ecase still showed "In Process." Ecase is not necessarily a determinant of the level of the process.

In our case we would have been messed up if we had not checked with CIC. Three weeks after medicals the doctor had not sent the medicals and we didn't know. After checking with CIC when we called her, she said she spelled a name wrong and was going to call us to confirm and was also missing one result which was really not true as we checked with the lab and they had transmitted everything a day after the tests. Had to send a number of emails to her office before she finally sent it. Checking with CIC helps to confirm that the doctor has sent the results.

That is also true. After One week of our medicals, I called the doctor to make sure he transmitted the results to CIC. He confirmed positive.

Renewed passport from embassy and send a copy to CIC, using that
Opportunity I allso have asked to acknowledge receipt of Medicals and
FBI certificate. I did not get any response. May be I wait one more
Week like July advices and send them another email.

Just called doctors office, they said we sent your emed on December 11.
So I guess CIC should received it.

Soon you will see the line added for "Medicals have been received." Additionally, if you have a copy of the payment receipt from the doctor's office, that should have been forwarded to CIC. Mine was forwarded on my behalf by the Rep.

Just received an e-mail requesting passport!!!

I am a US citizen and my husband is a US permanent resident; we are currently residing in the US. I have a few questions and need your answer/expertise/confirmation:
1. I will only send a copy of my US passport.
2. We will send my husband's original passport from a non-exempt country.
3. We can send the documents to one of the address provided; it is a PO Box and the other one is Laurier Ave address, both in Ottawa.
4. Can I use Fedex to send all documents and send them a return envelope with my US address?
