Hello guys,

I would thank you if I hear your comments regarding my issue and what I should do at this point. I am so stressed out....

I suggest that both you and the lender (whoever giving you the money) write notarized letters (separate) that states the reason for the money (for example, so and so is my son/daughter e.t.c. and I had promised him this money once he achieved........) and the money is not refundable..... then make a copy of the check (if that is what it is), and highlight the bank statement section where the same exact amount appear then attach everything and send to them along with your letter stating......this is to certify that so and so... is my father/mother..e.t.c a and he/she gave me this amount for the reason......... I confirm that this amount is not refundable since it is a gift..........

This is just an explanation For my case, I made a copy of the rental checks that totaled $2,600.00 with a notarized explanation and sent it to my attorney for onward transmission. That was in 2011 and I have never had question(s) regarding the same.

Ok, today i got the PPR. great news!!!!!! for a change, i do feel good and full of hope. In the email i got they also want 2 photos, they give you a link with the photo specifications, its their CIC website for permanent resident card pictures. They say that they are different then passport pictures:

"Notes to the photographer

The two photos must:
•show a full front view of the person's head showing full face centred in the middle of the photo;
•be clear, well-defined and taken against a plain white background without shadows;
•be produced from the same unretouched film or from the same file capturing the digital image or from two identical photos exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera;
•be original photos (not taken from any existing photo);
•measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1” and 1 1/5”) from chin to crown (top of hair);
•have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″) finished size;
•be on photographic paper that has a backing which accepts and retains the date. Photos without this backing are not acceptable;
•be on prints that are well-fixed and washed to prevent discolouration;
•bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back of one print (stick-on labels are not acceptable)."

where do i go to take photos with date on the back in the USA? walgreens,CVS do they do it? i don't remember doing this for my initial application, or maybe i just forgot... thanks and keep your hopes up. your turn will come.

Great news Veri!
Many congrats...
by the way who is the case officer?

Hello All,

I applied for my FBI certificate in the first week of November 2013 after getting requests for it,Medicals and Payment of visa(RPFP) on November 1,2013.I got the certificate in the mail yesterday 01/06/2013.
Hi Goldmari, did u ask time extansion from VO to submit FBI cc?

Thanks to everyone in this forum for helps and supports.
I finally landed and my ecase has been changed to COMPLETED.
Landing process was very easy. I went to Queenston Lewinston Bridge, there is a U-turn just beside the duty free shop. officer gave us a yellow slip and asked us to go inside immigration. It took about 20 min to signing papers. Immigration officer asked couple questions about my job.
It took me 31 months.
I wish you all get your papers soon.
Hamid

Check with your doctor to ensure s/he has sent your medicals to CIC.

I'm sure the Christmas break must have caused a slight delay. Did ours on October 10th and it got updated on ecas on November 22nd, but the doctor delayed about three weeks before sending so it was sent around the end of October. You can wait one more week then send them an email to find out whether they had received your medicals. Ecas is however not a very good means of checking the status of an application though so don't worry. Some had theirs updated months ago and still no PPR yet, others get PPR within a few days of it being updated.

Thanks alwayspositive,
That's right, I've to wait. I've to wait for my. FBI cc anyway,
I'm gonna ask them deadline extension for that in a week or so.
I wish u got ur PPR like veri today. We are almost there. Hang in there guys.

Congrats veri, your optimism came to be a true one with PPR.
R u planning to use Xpress USA prepaid envelope? Please let us know the success?
And for the Pictures usually u can take to any professional photographer with the requirement of CIC he/she will do it? Which state r u in?
In my initial application i did in a small photocopy store where the person was a photographer and he had both canadian as well as US passport photo experience. Just ask the photographer if he has done before.
Hope this helps you.
Good luck to your further process and hope u get ur visa soon.
