It appears some of the panel doctors and lawyers contribute tremendously to further slow down an already slow PR process for us. If I were you, I would have re-done the medicals considering all the uncertainty surrounding your upfront medicals.

For some reason this upfront medical is not updated correcltly in the system... i dont know ..cant be confident ..but the immigration offcer cant find it.
I will redo the medical on next Friday.

The doctor will ask you if you have ever been hospitalized, so they will know anyway unless you decide to lie, which I will not advise.

first of all, congrats on your med request! if its nothing major and you think is not necessary then why tell, but if it is something that may arise again then you should probably tell the doctor. anyway whats your timeline?

Hello aashay,

Your medical exam has a technical part, and a physical exam. For the technical part, you will give blood and urine specimens for the following tests:

HIV screening
Syphilis
Complete urinalysis (sugar in urine, blood in urine, etc) => urinalysis alone can give a lot of health info
X-ray ( mainly to check for tuberculosis, and lung health)

And a thorough physical exam. The main purpose of the physical exam is to check if you are healthy overall, and it also helps to corroborate the answers you gave to the doctor. If for instance, the doctor finds swellings around a person's joints, it is usually indicative of a bigger problem, so that if the person didn't mention anything about it, the doctor can order extra tests based on the physical exam.

But generally, CIC requests 1) an x-ray 2) HIV screening 3) Syphilis test 4) a physical exam.

Of course there is the preliminary checks like visual acuity, blood pressure, height, weight , etc

I got my PPR Request yesterday i.e 31st oct , the same day when my ECAS status is changed to "Decision Made"

I think it is different for everyone. In usaca's case for example, his ecas changed to decision made on October 28th and he got PPR on the same day.

Hello Everyone,

Did anyone run into an issue with their children's passports? My home country does not issue passports or any kind of photo id to citizens younger than 16. What they do is put the kids photos and info on the back of their parents passport. Kind of like a mini passport in the back of parent's passport. But CIC is requesting me to send a separate passport for my son who is 7! But my home country is refusing to issue a passport to my son! Have anyone had this kind of problem before? And what was the solution?

Ours is DB00204. The doctor said she was going to send the meds to cic two days ago, not sure whether or not it has been sent yet. It has been three weeks since we did the medicals. will check again next week.

When was your medicals sent by the doctor to cic and when was your ecas updated to 'medical received'?

I have done my medicals on 11th OCT and since it was long weekend at that time, my report were there on 16th oct and my doctor has send to CIC on 17th OCT through eMedicals

My medicals received was updated on 21st OCT.
