Another month gone no news from Ottawa...

Next month this time we will be asking the same question!!

Unfortunately they did not do that, right? Because they are the boss, but we are not.

Hey Guys, I am in very critical situation. I applied for FSW in jan/2011. And my visa expired in oct/2011. I tried to get LMO to get visa renewed but i couldnt get LMO.It got refused. And there is no update from CIC on my FSW file.It shows in process since june/2011. Nothing has been changed on the cic website regarding my application status. Any idea/ comments would be helpful. Thanks

If you can't get a LMO you will not able to carry on working however you will qualify to apply under the Canadian experience class.

As of 1st January 2013 they are changing the the requirements from 24 months work experience to 12 months experience.

I face a similar situation and am planning to submit a CEC application in January.

Guys, heads up...

whoever updated or changed their address, double check with GCMS notes. I update my address 4 months back.
I update my address using on-line and even called up CIC to update the same...but nothing worked.
and on e-case it shows the new address but GCMS notes shows the old address...

I sent a mail to Ottawa and they confirmed that they have the old address and requested me to send the new address....

this is how immigration system is working right now...

Are you suggesting you have been living in Canada since Oct. '11 without valid status? I know you are allowed implied status as long as you have an application for renewal on-going before the old one expires. When was your application refused? And are you still in Canada? What's your employer doing about your situation? Can you provide more info so we can have an idea of what'ss going on?

It's clearly stated that you can't update your address online. Even calling to update your address is ineffective. Your best bet is to mail in or fax. And follow up with an e-mail asking for confirmation or request GCMS notes like you pointed out.

If you are in Canada you can update your address online. the same thing was told me by Ottawa office when I sent them an email.
follow-up with them over email? are you kidding? if they update to you to your emails...we won't be even discussing these things over this forum.....

any way it looks like there is no perfect method to update your address other than trying all methods and getting GCMS notes...

It happened to me, I suppose to change my home address but Buffalo VO told me that I should not change online because this is not gonna be reflect in your immigration file, then I send an email and I got updated my address in a week.

I'm still waiting for my GCMS

You can update your address however you like, but trying online one million times - you will be wasting your time.

What a surprise??? I got my PPR from Ottawa today by email and have been asked to submit my passports to Detroit within 30 days. Hope everyone gets their PPR soon and wish u all a good luck. Just wait patiently...
