Hi Jayson,
As I send an email to Ottawa and let them know about birth of my child
They send me this email.
Dear Madam / Sir,
This confirms acknowledgement of your email below informing us of the birth of your child- congratulations!
In order to add your child to your application, we require the following items:
· Processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)
· Copy of your child's birth certificate
· Copy of your child's valid passport
· Four (4) recent photographs of your child according to specifications
· Updated IMM 0008 Generic Application Form for Canada for yourself and updated IMM 5406 Additional Family Information form for yourself and your spouse
· A Certificat de Sélection du Québec for your child (in his or her name), if you wish for your child to immigrate to the province of Québec with you at this time [Only for Quebec Skilled Worker Class Applications]
Copies of the original documents are required. If these documents are not in English or French, they must be accompanied with original certified translations in English or French. All documents must be sent by email, mail or fax according to the address and number below. Do not submit originals unless otherwise stated as documents submitted will not be returned.
Your child must undergo a medical examination by an authorized CIC panel physician. We will send you the appropriate form upon receipt of the documents listed above. Be aware that non-accompanying dependants must undergo medical examinations. The exception to this requirement is children in the sole custody of another person. A child in the custody of another person, who was not examined, cannot later be sponsored as a member of the family class.
If your child was born in Canada, your child is automatically a Canadian citizen and will not need to be added to your application. In this case, please send us a copy of your child's birth certificate as proof of citizenship.
Further information and general inquiries may be found on the CIC website. You may also contact the Call Centre, toll-free within Canada, at 1-888-242-2100.
Please note that any changes to your situation will likely affect the processing time of your file.
For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and UCI number or application file number.
We will contact you if further information is required.
Regards,
But as I said birth certificate will come in 6-8 weeks, don't no about
