Yes, you could always do that.

Got an email today from CIC confirming that they got all the documents including medical results. The VO also stated that my file is under review by an officer for final decision!!! ;D

I got my GCMS notes in May. Nothing but the criminality check was started.
Soooo frustrated.

Why not send them an email, just to make sure you did not miss the request. An email may also nudge them and may trigger a response.

I sent them an email about a month ago, and they responded with the template ("your file is in process. No further action is needed...").

That response can be frustrating especially because it is not accompanied by any timeline. Have also sent them an email because we received document request in July and was hoping to have received MR by now.

To those FSW1 who recently received request for submission of updated forms;

I was asked for submission of updated docs and medical yesterday. CIC asked me only 3 below forms not 4 forms, I remember CIC used to ask others to submit schedule 3 (imm0008_3e.pdf) as well. Is everybody like me?
