E-mails come from a bunch of VOs - so it's common for people to assume that one of them is their their VO, which might not necessarily be true. I got e-mails from different VOs, so I can't really say, and to be honest I really don't bother my self with that as long as my file is processed.

I presume you are referring to Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). TRV application will be assessed independently of your immigration application: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/chile-chili/visas/trv-after-receiving_vrt-apres-recevoir.aspx

You should follow up with Ottawa with respect to your TRV application. The current processing time is less then 1 month if you applied within Canada.

congratulations to all those who have got their PPR calls.
i'll really appreciate if you could please help me or give some suggestion on my situation.

in a same boat of applying PR last year 2012 . medical results have recieved in June 2013 and since then no update. i urgently need to travel outside of country and i applied for the visa which is again goes to Ottawa. I applied for visa in July i.e. 2 months ago and there is no news and never heard on requesting my passport. contacted the visa office last month and they said it is still under process. i have no PR and no visa. valid work permit ofcourse. but i am wondering if i have to travel outside country what do i do ? what are my options to re enter. i am really frustrated and hope every week that i ll get a PR request.
do you think that since my PR is in last stages thats why they are not giving me visa? i would really appreciate if someone could share their experience if they had a similar situation. what can i do to ask them to issue me a visa atleast so i can re enter the country. please help !!

An applicant (profile name Saini84 - applied in May 2012) was requested to send some updated documents, medical and RCMP clearance.

My lawyer has received a letter from Ottawa to submit my updated forms and current employment letter in last month but unfortunately he forgot to inform me,
When I contacted him, last week, to request to Ottawa for any update regarding my application, then he informed me that Ottawa has already requested documents but unfortunately due to work load his office forgot to inform me and the due date has already passed (30 days time period) then He requested for the extension to the officer (stating that client need more time to get the employer letter ), fortunately officer has granted the extension,

I have send all the requested documents on last Friday.

Please advise me how long it will take for Ottawa to send me medical?
officer will request Medical directly or PCC(I have submitted PCC with initial application in May 2011) or any other documents,
Should I need to complain to CIC about carelessness of my lawyer or let it go, as the officer has granted the extension?

I would appreciate your comments,

Hi,

I have similar timeline and I got medical request same day with updated docs request in separate email. So double check with your busy lawyer if maybe he also got medical request same day in a separate email.

Also, sending updated forms by email: split emails so each one is less than 5MB as a total email OR has only one attachment (could be up to 15MB) and wait for auto-respond from ottawa in a minute, if you did not get it, they did not receive it.

Thank you for your response. yea i have in canada application. and now processing time on website 14days. it never took that long i.e. 2months to get trv , i applied several time. both trv and pr applications are in same office i.e. Ottawa. just wondering if its because of m PR last stages that they are not processing my trv but who knows. i emailed them last week and they said your application is still in process and its more than a month since this reply.
i am so tense and worried now :s
is there any way to re-enter canada if i travel without visa?

I wouldn't pay him any further.
Guessing, he wouldn't have told you, if you had not contacted him. Someone who is making excuses about work load is quantity oriented not quality. Your case is as important as any other client's. Sorry, just a thought!!
