Hi Fellas,
i just received PPR by email today. They gave me 15 days to submit my pp to Newyork office.
I hope the best for all of you fellas still waiting for PPR.

Just a quick question from those who submitted their PP to NY from Canada: Do you have any idea if I can include prepaid return envelope for PP? If yes, what courier you have used.

I sent prepaid envelope and they used that to return my passport.I am in US and I used USPS postal service (one day shipping).If I had used courier service then they would have avoided my prepaid service.Reasons are mentioned in the instructions which one gets along with the request for passport.

Checking this forum after long time, I am FSW1, MI-3 applicant, app receipt date 6th July 2011. remaining details in profile. I understand all Buffalo VO applicants struugling with long time lines.

I havn't submitted PCCs along with application as PCCs should be latest while reviewing the application at VO, since all Buffalo application moved to CPP-Ottawa, do I need to wait till they request PCCs or I can submit them before hand, I yet to apply for them and it may take 2 months to get it. Please suggest what needs to be on this PCCs.//////

If I were you, I would start to process and send them to Ottawa ASAP. They might delay your processing if needed and are not in file.

though CPP didnot request me for PCCs, I'll start applying for PCCs and will send them soon.

Hope they will not ask me again in future saying these are outdated!

We checked with our MP office last week, our status as per update from Ottawa is: currently criminality/background checks are ongoing.No timeline given. MP office is going to check back again some time next month.

Our time line:
Application filed FEB 1st week 2011.
AOR on MAR last week 2011.
xfered to Ottawa in 2012 MAY.
No medical request. Did Advanced medicals in 2012.
Medicals received @OTTAWA, confirmed in recent CAIPS report.
Recent CAIPS (one month old) has no information on criminality/background checks.

I got update from my MP Office and they said my case will be finalized by year end.

My timelines are

Filed in June 14 , 2011.
AOR Receieved - 11 Aug, 2011.

This is so vague ...I am not going to follow up any more. It will come when it has to come ..

Guys,
I received my CAIPS notes today but no progress. I have the same status of my application since May 2011. My timeline is close to Nadeem but i am FSW1 - MI2...i guess Ottawa will not going to look at our (FSW1) files till end of 2013. Please find my timeline on left.

Any thoughts on when i will hear some news from Ottawa?

I applied in march 2011.
I called my MP office and they replied with the below link and told me the following:
the minister has issued new instructions about the FSW applications that have been delayed because of the closure of the Buffalo office. In summary, it means that all files will be reviewed this year but it will take until 2014 for some to be completed. Here is where you can see this in more detail:

(See “Frequently Asked Questions” towards the bottom of the page and then Question 1 “I applied at the Canadian Visa Office in Buffalo, New York... etc” and look at the information for Federal Skilled Workers).

We've APPLIED FOR PR IN FEB2010. CURRENT STATUS IS IN PROCESS.
We got MR, Employment letter request,PCC in Jan 2012 and we sent the MR,PCC and updated employment details in Mar 2012.

Now we have received email, asking for
Updated IMM0008 “Generic Application Form For Canada
Updated IMM5669 “Schedule A” for yourself and your spouse
Updated evidence of settlement funds (showing 6 months deposits/ withdrawals history) for yourself/ your spouse
Original police certificate for yourself and your spouse from the State where you are currently residing
Updated letter of current occupation (employment/studies) for yourself

1) What is the meaning of this? is this positive news?
2) Also, we have a baby now 3 months old. So what all documents we need to send for the baby along with these docs ?

Congrats for the one who got his PR and good luck for the one who is waiting for it.
I have a question how come some of you who applied in 2011 or 2010 still not even have their medical request sent!?? but some of who apply for it in 2012 already got their PR!!!! I was carious is it that the applicant who file on 20112 will be treated priority than the one for 2010 and 2011? they doing it thru FSW as well.

Deadsea,
the other forum you link to is for applicants who are in India and other parts of the world, so their timelines are not applicable for comparison to ours. Canada divides PR applicants geographically by region. People in India are applying through the New Delhi Visa Office (VO), for example. Their processing times are completely different from the people who apply in the UK through the London VO, for example. It might be a 6 month processing time in New Delhi but a 2 year processing time in London, for example, just based on the fact that the offices have different staffing levels and run differently.

People in the US used to apply through the Buffalo VO in Buffalo, New York but about a year ago all of our applications were transferred to Ottawa, ON and so now everyone who is applying from the US sends their application to Sydney, NS and it is then forwarded to Ottawa - the Buffalo office no longer reviews PR applications. For most of us who applied pre-2012, though, our files are in a queue in Ottawa somewhere. So, it is futile to compare our wait times to those from another part of the world.

i applied under FSW on 31st may 2011. sent all the documents with the file. recieved my AOR on july 28, 2011 and then another email in Jan 2012 that I need to get my fingerprints done. after that my status just shows RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE. no change at all
