For immigration, there is no one way of doing things.. they do it in 10 different ways.. there are people who have 'application recived on XXXX' and still got their ppr... i think its all depends on VO.... some must be lazy.. some are very good at updating... see its just like us.. where we work, some are good at filing our documents right after we are done. but some not good... in ur case you should probably get ppr this week or the follwoing week... if God wills..

My status is totally different from you guys. It only show "Application received on Oct 28, 2010. Medical Exam has been received".
That's it. Not sure what gonna happen? My application is still in queue and not yet processing?

Might be, no idea. Ecase update doesnt give you any expected dates.

I was told on the border to stay 730 days out of 1825 days. That's 2 out of 5 years. My wife was told the same (which seems weird). I knew that I would be given 1 year of credit for living in Canada even before getting PR. But how my wife ended having the same condition (2 years; not 3 years) is confusing...

So Rossie, so spouse they have to stay only 2 years, eventhough they dont have 1 year cresit for them???

TRUONGAN told me that both of us will have to stay 2 out of 5 years to retain PR status. This is something different from Citizenship criteria. I will probably have 1 year advantage over my wife towards Citizenship.

Hi all,
I applied for PR under the Ontario PNP. I have received my nominee certificate in March, 2011. I then sent required documents to Buffalo in May, 2011 and got returned in July 2011. I then completed required document and sent to Buffalo in August 2011. My bank draft was cashed on October 4th, 2011. A few days ago, I was able to check my ECAS and it is said that my application was received on August 2, 2011. In fact, I used my Client ID. My questions are:
1. Does anyone of you experience the same thing, i.e. being able to check your ECAS after nearly 3 month since your bank draft cashed?
2. How long you think I will receive my AOR and MR?
Thanks for your help guys,

Thanks for your help guys,

i have a question for every one in this forum which is pertaining to bank statement.i am waiting for medical request so they will ask me to send a bank statement.can u guys tell me that ,r they asking everyone for with 6 months history statement.and is it essential that the balance should remain the same through out.i have applied on 3rd of jun 2011,so soon i am expecting request from them.my balane in jun was shorter by 5 thousand dollers than i deposited 7 thousands in july since than i got the required balance.so on that calculation i have to wait for jan to get my medical done along with bank statement which will be with 6 month history. suggest me if i can send them before in case they send me the request in november sometime so the balance in first month will be shorter and after that will be fine please share your experinces,

thanks for taking time out to read such a long message

Just found out E-Cas is just for people who applied to a visa office inside Canada.. if you applied to buffalo etc it does not reflect accurately your status..

this is the email i got in reply to why i could not update my address..............

We have amended our records to reflect your new address.

e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.

Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.

Does anyone know if there is a site we can use???

it's better that we just send enquiries to buffalo directly using email
