I applied on Apr 2011 to Buffalo under the pilot Master's PNP.
I checked the status using the client Id on my post-grad work permit.
It shows the status of my earlier rejected application to CIO, Sydney.
Can I still check the status with the same client ID for my new application ?

Also, my passport is expiring in Jul 2012 and my work-permit in Jun 2012.
I would have received my WP till May 2013 if my passport expired beyond May 2013. There is a remark on my WP - "Post-graduate employment issued to end of passport validity"

If I renew my passport, will they extend my visa/WP without a LMO?
Not sure if I would get my PR before Jun 2012.

I applied to Buffalo in Dec. 2010. Draft cashed in January 31, 2011 (by calling bank). No response AOR or Med yet. Ecase by client id shows previous FSW application status which I withdrew in Sept. 2010.

Just sharing my timeline.

Hi Guys,
I sent PNP application on Sept 2010 and have done Medical check on May 2011 .... also done criminal background check early June 2011.
I'm waiting for the passport request but haven't hear anything about that.

However, the online ECAS inquiry always show "Application received" but I guess they don't have time to update in the system....
is someone have the similar timeline like me ?

Timeline: Applied to Buffaslow in March and they cashed cheque in May

I assume I wont be getting any med request until Oct/Nov since it is taking 7 months nowadays.

Hey Saka 101, I lodged my application on January 10 and got the AOR on 28th of June. I did the month and looks like it now takes 23 weeks or six months. Thanks

wow Okwama u are very lucky...most people who applied in December havent received their AOR yet...which province did you apply from and under what stream? I hope mine take 6 months too *fingers crossed*

I got my medicals dated july 07, 2011. My file was recieved at buffalo on jan 10, 2011.
They have picked up their speed lately. All december medicals are out, but many are complaining that they have not recieved it. I believe it is in canadapost backlog during their strike. 2 week ago they said they have a high backlog of over 40 million to be delivered. It is probably in there for sure.

my app was received nov 1st and i still havent received meds or really anything else for that matter :(

Hello Sam,
Did you already got your medical? Did u sent the application on Jan 8 or they reicieved on Jan 8? Did you applied to Buffalo or Fort Erie...?

So that means they started processing January applications?? Is it anything special that ur application is processed like your nationality/nominated province etc? Just wondering.. Cos you are the first one I heard from January.. Did you applied for your spouse too?
Thanks in advance Sam

Also Sam, can you access ecas now? Just wondering when you put your client ID# do you enter as XXXX-XXXX or just XXXXXXXX ? I mean without the hyphen?

This is copied from the email I received from CIC last week:
How do I check the status of my application?
You may use either the Unique Client Identifier (UCI) or Application Number above (given in the email I received) to check the status of your application on the CIC website. Please visit www.cic.gc.ca/english and in the “I Need To ...” section on the right-hand side of the page, select “Check application status.”

For my e-cas, I can access it with my UCI# XXXXXXXX or Application# EPXXXXXXXX (given in the email). I cannot check e-cas with the Client ID (work/study permit). Apparently, UCI is Client ID that is seen in the Identification Type drop-down menu of e-cas login page.

Besides, my application number starts with "EP"; not with "B". I think it is becasue I sent my application directly to Port Erie (not to Buffalo). And this application number is actually my Immigration File Number :D

Hey Saka 101
I live in Boston. I applied for pnp Manitoba under familiy stream.

Hey...u're the first person for January I am hearing of so far. Good for u!

I've a mail from CIC which is waiting at my friend's place. It arrived yesterday. If it has Medical Request letter in it; then it would be a shy over 6 months (=27 weeks) for me.

I will have chance to look at it tonight and let everyone know here. It seems like CIC-Buffalo is speeding up their 'priority' processing :P

Thats great news Rossei...
Did anyone do their medical in advance before it was requested?
