Hi guys, my husband just got his PPR via e-mail. And I just had a few questions, any help would be much appreciated!

1) He is currently visiting with me in Canada, and has received a visitor record for 6 months. But his address we applied with is in the USA. Do we send his PP to Buffalo Consulate General? or the Ontario CG?

2) Should we be expecting any mail from them to his USA address?

3) Should I use a courier since Canada Post is on the verge of a strike?

My mind is racing a mile a minute I think I have more but I can't concentrate right now!! Just wasn't expecting this PPR! :D:D

1) the ppr is from the visa office, which is buffalo....that means the pp should be send there. You have application was outbound
2) Not sure about that but my guess would be that the pp will be returned to the US mailing address you provided
3) Be safe and use courier...given you are sending your pp

All the best and congrats

1) It always has to go to the actual visa office that did the processing, so Buffalo.

2) Probably not, since he's already received his PPR.

3) You always need to do what the visa office instructs, and nothing else. See: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/contact-contactez.aspx.

...They should have sent him some instructions about at least some of this. Make sure he follows whatever's in the email and what their updated info on their website says. And btw, no it doesn't matter that his mailing address was listed as a US one; what matters is whatever address you guys put on the return envelope for them to return the passport to him. Plenty of people have US mailing addresses but then end up sending their passports to Buffalo from Canada (while visiting there). Not an issue. They'll send it back to whatever address YOU give them for a return envelope.

Yes, if he was notified by email, the email includes links with instructions, including the guidelines (and size dimensions) for the photos requested, etc. Many important details about the process are in these links.

Good luck!
