Dear friends,

There are many applicants stuck at "IN PROCESS" stage at Buffalo VO (cases not transferred to other VOs within USA) for the last 1-8 months. They are members of various threads on this forum therefore it is dificult to track the movements for mutual information and benefit. Hence, this is an effort to compile the list of all such applicants on this thread. Please join if you are in the same situation. I think following three dates are important to track the processing times:

File transferred from CIO to Buffalo - 02 March 2010
Second AOR (RBVO) date - 24 September 2010
IN PROCESS date - 19 October

Good luck to all aspirants...

Hay Vermas,

Good Idea you started this.

I am in the same boat, my VO office is Buffalo.

File transferred from CIO to Buffalo - 11 Feb 2010
Second AOR (RBVO) date - 17 November 2010
Current Status - Received by VO

I follow so many threads to compare my timelines with my peers. I thought we all can save time if we have our info on one thread. "IN PROCESS" stage is the longest on e-cas.

Cheers...

My is also "in Process" but its updated last month , just 15days ago, so its not big problem for me, if I wait 2months or 3motnhs under "in-process" then tenssion for next step.

I went into process around July 21 and got an email from a friend who received my medical request on August 4th. I don't think you have too much longer to go. Good luck.

Thanks Maaties.
I hope to receive MI next month.

Cheers............

My case is "In Process", But E-cas still showing "Received by visa office". "In Process" was told by Buffalo reply my E-mail. I sent E-mail to asked my status in the beginning of last months(NOV). No updates till today when i check E-cas.

I had sent email before my status changed to in process and for the first email, they said it is in process and for the second email they said, it is waiting to be processed (i.e., received at the visa office stage). Sometimes one cannot decipher what they mean exactly by in process when they say it over an email, whether it has the same meaning as the status message of "in process" or whether it means it is waiting to be process (because by that definition, everything is in process, isn't it).

I am sure you will get medical request soon. They seemed to move on in my application fast once it actually did go into process.

By the way, I have my visa stamp now, and my status message is still "in process". I guess they don't update it well. So there is a chance that your application has gone into process but they haven't updated it.

My Estatus shows "Received by VO" .I have sent Buffalo few additional documents through snail mail and am planning to send the same documents electronically to them.
Then will send a email to buffalo and ask about the my case status. As someone else pointed out,the case would be in "Progress" but it shows "Received by VO" on the Ecase Status.
