Buffalo Application - What next after medical test

I applied for the permanent residence Sept 2006.
I was asked to write IELTS in August 2007.
I did the Medical test January 2008 with the police clearance.
I have not heard anything from them and I tried an enquiry, the told me that my application is in process and would not tell me when it will be finalized.They acknowledged the receipt of medical results.

Can anyone tell me how long it will take to get the case finalized after receipt of medical test results?

In the same boat, except Medical was done in Feb. Haven't heard since then from CIC Buffalo.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes after medical report and additional documents are sent to CIC Buffalo?

My last corresspondence to them was done on 5th March and since then I havent heard anything back from them.

Hi guys,

I'm planning to send my application to the Buffalo Office in July 2008, please advise if any of you have experienced any issue with process besides the processing time. See, my wife would be the principal applicant and her English still needs some work, for what I can read you won't be required to take the English test until after a year..Is this always the case?? if so, she will have plenty of time to improve it... Also, she is here (USA) with a student visa, any problem because of this???....

Okupa,

Your best bet is for her to do the IELTS exam and put it with the initial application. She can take IELTS classes to have high grades which is proportional to the Points from Immigration. If she did not do it initially, she might be asked to do it at a later date , that might increase the processing times.
