Hello,

First time to post in this blog but I have been reading your valuable comments.
I received re-medical exam for me and my wife last Feb. 18, 2013. My previous medical expired and was not extended even if I did not went out of Canada. Its a long wait but at least there is a progress. Btw, I did not follow-up at all as I believe that Immigration will do it anyway. Just have patience and believe that it will come.

Date applied: February 2011 (PNP, originally applied in Buffalo)
1st Medical: September 2011
Re-medical: February 13, 2013 (Ottawa)

Hello Folks,

I received an email from CIC today, its simillar email that majority of the folks received, i noticed that the majority of the email follows the same template except the 'Case Status' part. My understanding is, if they require any documents from you, it should be written under 'Case Status' section.

One question to who have received such emails, the email i received today doesn't have 'Case Status' section at all, what does it mean? does it mean they wanted me know the officer is assigned (i can see officer's id in signature) or do they forgot to add it??? any thoughts?

yes we have the same officer... im receive ppr last week and im already sent everything by courier and pay prpf, they just received today at 6;30pm lets see wt happn...what about you? any news beside medical request?

Like many others I just received the email from Ottawa asking for additional information from me (actually it came in my inbox at 10:26pm eastern time last night)

As many of you I was confused with whether they want another copy of my police certificate, but thank you very much to the invaluable input you guys put in without any hustle I found that they didn't want the pc again. So it is just down to this part :

Case Status:


In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· Updated details of your personal history since January 2011. Start with the most recent information, indicate your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (ie. Unemployed, studying, traveling, etc). Please include city/town or country and the name of the institution/company.


With the exception of Police Certificates, please submit the requested documents as scanned attachments and send to the following e-mail address:

ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

My question is, since submitting my application in Jan, 2013, I have changed one job. Do you think this fact is going to affect my application as the government might want applicants to stay put during the application process? Do you think I should just give them my original job with which I applied for the PR, or should I also include the current job which I have just been at for over four months?

Please advise.

I told you that police certificate is not needed...that is all CIC agents fault not editing the text properly...

So i got following email from Ottawa (some information has been masked)

Now I have couple of questions.

1: They have asked me to submit Police Certificate, pay fee and updated info since April 2011. Is there anything else they have asked me ? I just want to make sure
2: What police certificate ? I already sent them certificate from Pakistan like 4 months ago (i got an acknowledgement email on October 25th, 2012). Are they asking for Police Certificate from Canada ?
3: They have asked me to provide personal history since April 07, 2011. How should i provide it ? I mean is there any form for that or shall i just prepare a document (word document for it).


Last, does anyone else go this thing ?

Based on your email you do not have to submit police certificate. the required documents are in Case status section only.
the rest is only template..
I got the same email and did not submit my police certificate.

recenlty McMont had similar doubt and he did not submit police certificate and he got passport request.

you just need to pay fee and submit personal history....
do it fast with in two weeks you get PPR..

I sent some doc to ottawa on the 219 laurier ave west. But it was delivered to 365 laurier avenue west. Does anyone know if this is where they receive thier mails? Pls confirm ASAP as there is no means to even ask them i they got it. Thanks

i didn't get medical request either, the email was generic, just letting me know its been assigned to officer that's it. I have already paid PRPF back in October 2011.

HI Tracy22k,

Don't get panic, if you write address properly, you don't need to worry as the courier companies are responsible for that, I guess they will get your documents to the right address, in case you need to send an email regarding your documents after 2 - 3 days to ask for the acknowledgement.

Thanks Nadeem. I am just worried since it was delivered to a different address. Just wanting to be sure it is cic ottawa that resides on the 365 laurier avenue west. Just checking through online now, it seems courier deliverings are delivered to that address. But any confirmation is still appreciated.

Did you applied in January 2012 or January 2013?
Are you PNP applicant? If yes what category you applied for 'With Job Offer' or 'Masters/PHD student'? which province nominated you?

Got an email from ottawa again (2nd email since last week),asking for my spouse's FBI clearance certificate.

Do you know how long it takes to get it? FBI website says 5-6 weeks, cic website says 16-18 weeks! I must submit FBI certificate by May 26th, 2013, and if it takes 16-18 weeks, I dont think I Can by the deadline!

I am panicking right now! Can anyone tell me the right processing time for FBI certificate, from your experience?
