Someone got their file transferred to Ottawa in May just got PPR from Ottawa. It just re-assures what I mentioned earlier that its taking 2 months from the time your file is received at Ottawa to receive PPR. However, most of us dont know when our files got transferred to Ottawa..

Hi Sharuu, I think have seen in one of your post you mentioned Ottawa doesn't request PR. They finalized the case and forward the file to Detroit visa office from where the PPR is issued.Pls correct me if I am wrong.

I think what Ottawa does it requests PPR, but it asks you to send your passport to Detroit as they can only stamp the VISA.

Hey Guys I am new to the site. I am not sure whether I posting this message on the right thread however I am going to discuss my case.

I have applied for my PR through Quebec Skilled Worker Class. I sent my application to Buffalo but that VO is closed now and I am not sure where my application is right now????? No notification that file has moved to Ottawa but I am assuming its in Ottawa.

My details are as follows.

Application to Federal Novemeber 16, 2011

Medical done and received by Ottawa.

On cic website my status is showing as "In Process"

Also written that "we have started processing your application on June 11, 2012".
When can I expect a PPR. Anyone with a similar case please do reply.

Applications that were in Buffalo before they announced the closing down have been transferred mostly to Ottawa. I think that is where your file might be.

if you are a new applicant, you have a choice to assign Ottawa or INDVO as your visa office, which one you are going to choose? PNP folks with INDVO have constantly getting visas now even just submitted in less than 6 months. They did not have problems or look like going though the process as you mentioned such as this check that check, officers checking your file, coming back recheck, ...... so on so forth. These folks just got it in less than 6 months. Any comments? For the new applicants, it is wise to choose home country VO if they have a choice?

I got it done in early May, not showing medical status in ecase yet. no further request from VO either.

are in Canada? AINP also?

After 3 months transfering my file to La. Got medical result added in my ecas but still In process. waiting for the PPR. the wait is killing me..is anybody from LA office got there PPR already ? Pls. share your time line guys. Thanks appreciate your help..

you are right bkd, i have seen some candidates getting ppr requests recently and they have got it in 6 months only

to clarify here in some cases ottawa direct you to send your passport to Fort Mc in Ontario and when u receive it back u see the stamping is done from detroit...

it happened with one of my friend last month
