BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Like you I have been much longer than normal for news about my immigration application. Based on the discussions pass around the forum I conclude that there is obvious discrimination against applicants from "certain countries" with a "certain religion". I have been waiting for 29 months so far (including the 7 months that CSQ application took.) and I see people that applied one year after me are getting their permanent residence. The first come first served rule is certainly not a major at CIC. That's very strange!

i dont think so my friend , i'v seen a lot of people from european countries with the same problem , even more than 20 months to have PR . what i believe is that the original cause of the long wait is the CSIS , they hold the files or they dont send back the BG check fast to the VO . i know a guy who did send a letter to CSIS and after that he got his PPR , and he had a friends applying at the same time , they finaly get their PPR 3,4 months after him

First come first serve means, you will be first in the queue. It does not mean you will get PPR first!

thank you very much for response. In my GCMS notes under the criminality and security fields I read NOT STARTED; after 20 months of waiting. I will go to the office of the MP in two weeks seeking more information about my application. CIC received my application on Dec. 16 but I didn't get AOR until April 29. That's 5 months of idle waiting time.
If you or anybody knows how we may contact CSIS regarding our BG checks I would appreciate if you share.

thank you very much for response. In my GCMS notes under the criminality and security fields I read NOT STARTED; after 20 months of waiting. I will go to the office of the MP in two weeks seeking more information about my application. CIC received my application on Dec. 16 but I didn't get AOR until April 29. That's 5 months of idle waiting time.

I know to wait without knowing whats going it agonizing. Even if my case was actually finalized with a jaw dropping speed compared to other forum members, i still know how it is to wait...

Anyway, i do not recommend to contact CSIS because if this delay. You possibly won't get an answer from them anyway, they work at their own "speed". And "pushing" them may cause more harm than good. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do than wait. Never wake a sleeping dog.
And you're still in the time frame of 10-14 months, i got my AOR after 6months!

You could send CIC an email to ask about your status, you might get a useful answer from them. That's my input.

today i went for shopping with sunshine about 2.30pm...sunshine...wind.... i left the shopping centre 5pm...and it was raining...like it was raining all day....grey and dark loool
