Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.

Thanks pearl for the sample letter for address change but that is precisely how I wrote to NY VO several times without a response or resulting update of address.

Anyways, I have a question for you experts. Is the requirement for a valid Work Permit "when applying and on approval of PR" no-more a requirement.

I was going through the CIC web site under the section "Who can apply", linked at : www "dot" cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who "dot" asp

And the only requirements I see now are:

For your application to be eligible for processing, you must:

* include the results of your official language proficiency test, AND
* have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR
* have one year of continuous full-time paid work experience in at least one of the occupations listed here.

Work experience minimum requirements

If your application is eligible for processing, it will then be assessed against minimum requirements.

Your work experience must be:

* for at least one year, continuous, and paid (full-time or the equivalent in part-time), AND
* Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) list, AND
* within the last 10 years.

If you meet the above minimum requirements, your application will be processed according to the six selection factors in the skilled worker points grid , which are:

* your education
* your abilities in English and/or French, Canada’s two official languages
* your work experience
* your age
* whether you have arranged employment in Canada, and
* your adaptability.

You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependents after you arrive in Canada.

I ask this because I was working in Canada for 1.5 yrs before I moved to Sydney, Australia. My work permit is still valid until Aug 2011. Should I put in efforts to renew the work permit or will I be OK without a work permit whenever the VO thinks, I/We have waited long enough and a PR is issued? Ofcourse, I submitted my letter of arranged full time employment along with my application....just an FYI.

Thanks for your input in advance.
Cheers!

Congratulations to all who got 'in process' yesterday.
Looks like 'in process' timing depends on date of file transfer from CIO to buffalo and not the date of second AOR- just a speculation looking at the trend.

Today I received my CAIPS note and it has a note as follows:

PAPER FILE SENT TO CRT FILE BF'D TO: PPS ON 18-03-2011 MICROLOCATOR:

I did read somewhere on this forum that PPS: point at paper screening stage

Does anyone know what this means ?

Hi Pearl2010,

I changed my signature. Good luck to you~~
