This is from Immigration site

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Croatia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Macedonia, Montenegro, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen

pls send CAIPS request

Hi Simp,

Everyone here is trying to find a clue abt this waiting time, but very hard to figure out ....may be it depends upon each case.sometimes it looks like a casino :)

So how much roughly the waiting time is after 2nd AOR.

Or it depends upon other factors like

1).File transferred to visa office
2).full documents submitted to VO.

As my AOR mentioned that files are deal in the priority they are recieved at visa office.

My file was transfered to Buffalo in April 2010 as mentioned below the 2nd AOR ( acknldge/apr/2010) and ecas staus shows as well the file was transferred to buffalo on April 12th.

Though 2nd AOR was issued on OCT 26 2010.

Any comments ....

I found this information in LA visaoffice site
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/los_angeles/imm/visa_temp.aspx?lang=eng#MANDATORY

MANDATORY WAITING PERIODS

Citizens of the following countries are subject to a mandatory wait period. The usual wait period is 10 working days (not including US and Canadian statutory holidays) but may be longer depending on the case.

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Macedonia, Montenegro, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen. The same waiting period also applies to holders of travel documents issued by the Palestinian Authority.

Wait periods may also be required for individuals from countries other than those identified above

Hi

My status has changed to RBVO two days back.

The status follows
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We received your application for permanent residence on May 19, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 29, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

File transfer date is missing in the status.

I see most of them have File Transfer Date in their status.

Could anybody please suggest how to get the File Transfer Date ??

Thanks
