what is this ?
BFD means ???

BFD is "Bring Forward Date". This probably means your file will be reviewed again only on May 20, 2011. The upside is that you need not be in tension as to when you can see the progress on your file. The downside is that you have to wait until about end of May to know the progress. Just sit back patiently and watch movement on others file.

did u apply caps?

I haven't ordered CAIPS. It only tells the status and assessment of the application but doesn't expedite the case. I can see on these forums that applicants with my timelines are all waiting for their cases to move further. My case can't be treated differently. Yes, if I get an interview call, I will immediately order CAIPS to familiarize myself with the assessment and likely questions to prepare myself in advance. I will not waste my money otherwise.

BTW, where are you located? Are you in Canada? If yes, you can get these for C$ 5 or even free. If not, but you have a friend/relative in Canada, you can authorize him/her and get it for not more than C$ 35.

Hi Anumatri,

I have no idea on CAIPS. I have never applied. Many be others can say more about this.

@anumatri, if you are in canada you can apply caips for free. Dont spend $120 for something that isnt worth it. I ordered caips just to clear my head. If you are not in canada, dont apply for caips unless you are called for interview. map your bfd with my timelines and bfd. bfd is when a vo will start looking at your case.

hi mcboy
for 120 $ they will send one report only ,they they will update u time 2 time ?
or for every report u need to send 120 $

You do not need to spend anything for CAIPS notes if you are requesting from Canada. I do not know what someone might do for you with 120$ but if you want your CAIPS notes agaian, you apply again- free. Although too much of CAIPS notes will not be informative and they may just tell you not to order notes too frequently.

And every time some one orders CAIPS it is recorded on the file, repeat ordering may raise suspicion in the mind of VO.
