Thanks - I suggest you to send them your FedEx account number if you haven't already.
I believe you have written 'urgent' in the envelope (heard most do).
Good luck

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Feel free and confident already? :-)

I got RPRF request from NY. I am wondering the $490 is in US dollars or Canadian dollars. Can I pay with Credit card? Thanks for your help.

Directions should be on the document sent to you. Mine references a link to the NY VO website which I found here:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/assets/pdfs/visas/50_1_eng.pdf

Document says for NYVO, they only accept Money Order and Certified Check. I believe it can be either CAD or USD, but what's important to note is your payment is payable to different people, depending on if its USD or CAD.

Take a look at the pdf.

Hi,
In the PPR letter they instruct me to submit my passport within 30 days as I receive the PPR letter.

Is 30 days deadline the same for all US visa offices?

Did you hear if anybody ever had asked VO to extend this deadline?
I need 70 days instead of 30.

how did you get your Passport request? through regular snail or Email?

Just send them a mail stating the possible delay and the reason for it. They usually grant these extensions, as it is at the last possible step!!

Thanks for the reply. I have made the case specific inquiry, explaining my circumstances. But didn't get anything from them yet.

Your file is in line for a final review by an immigration officer. We cannot estimate when a decision will be made, but we assure you that you will hear from us once the officer reviews your file.

Thanks. Yes glowingheart. I did my medicals in advance in July 2011 without them asking. I submitted my FBI last week which they had asked about a month back. They received by FBI last week and I am 99% sure that my quick PPR is because of my email as they had responded saying I am going to get an email from them soon.
My advice to everyone regarding communication with CIC is, do not send emails too often and do not send just because you are tired of waiting before the usual wait time. but DO SEND them email at appropriately calculated time which will definitely expedite your process. Make your email look your request LEGITIMATE and they will help - afterall they are humans on the other end of the email who can be both empathic or irritated based on the circumstance. So, judge and send them inquiry at right time!
Good luck to those who are still waiting , hope your file moves soon.
