I surfed couple of forums for a few hours and I found out that the average time consumption of Buffalo Visa office after MR is 6 months give or take. next round of hide and seek!


it's sick. for me means next June. good luck for you guys.

Congrats Gazz... Looks like NY VO is acting fast on transferred application and Buffalo on non transferred applications... Anyways I am happy for you Gazz

Oh, cool. Have you seen any update from LA--i.e., online status etc.? Please post a line here if/when you do. I haven't had any changes so far on my status--still RBVO details inside.

Fact is it's hard tell ..
But technically , Buffalo vo office count a day when they received full application. I believe it's also depends which NOC you have.
Dont worry have some patience..Look at my time line..
One good news for us that" CIC now accepting less no of new applications and same time giving more time to process older application. Because they want to clear backlog." that's what canadian immigration ministry said.

I believe they are processing the applications depending on the date of first applocation to CIC, NS

Hi John,

I bet on the time that Buffalo receiving the document. in your case Jun., 23, 2010.

this is my way of calculation.

1: go to the Net and check the official quarterly updated time line for the Visa Office ( for Buffalo is 23 months now ). this time will updated every three month.

2:approximately 19 months( Quarterly updated time mines 4 or 5 months) after the time that they received the document( Jun. 23th) they will issue the MR. please check your ECAS. if you have already received the message "the file was reviewed and we started processing your file" , I think you will receive your MR very soon.

3: approximately 4 to 6 months after MR (if we don't waste the time for doing MR) they will ask for PPR.

these are the recent average time lines for FSW2 in Buffalo Visa Office and may change case by case. in a nut shell the average time for Normal FSW2 cases are 23 to 25 months.

I hope you will find these information useful.
these are based just on my experience and also talking to the other guys that have recently finished this Marathon.

don't worry. take a back seat and enjoy your life. there is really nothing to do.

Officer says " my job duties did not satisfy him. But i believe it fits in Noc 9212."
I need some expert's advise. Can i go against that decision and ask for review again and submitt job duties well explained.

I need reply as soon as possible.

I'm looking at the the timelines posted by gazz an have this to say ..
for all those people in FSW2 category.. i suggest reapplying in CEC category if u have finished 2 years in Canada.. my lawyer said her most recent CEC client got PR from time of submission to stamping in less than 5 months.. i just sent mine in .. i currently have 2 applications .. my old FSW and the new CEC .

Envelope dated Nov 02, 2011)) after e-cas update on Oct 27 - that was fast)
just regular mail, no emails
sent from buffalo, so my file was reviewed there
interview waived!

Have you ever checked your E-cas recently? do you know that Buffalo have chashed your RPRF or not?
we are in the same boot and I am trying to figure out the time line after MR for Buffalo.
my estimation is two or three months.
