Here is my time line for those who asked:

1. Application received at Sydney : January 25, 2010
2. Document request received(by email with a file number): March 12, 2010
3. Document sent to Buffalo : May 15, 2010
4. Buffalo AOR received(by email with a new file number): September 29, 2010
5. Status showd "RBVO" from 30th Sep 2010 to October 30th 2011
6. Medical request received by mail: Oct 31, 2011

So, your file is proceed by Buffalo office rather than other local offices; and your file has not been transferred to any other office. Am I right?

That means Buffalo is not just doing the transferring job, but also the proceeding job.

they regretted and changed back the processing time and updating date of FSW to 21 months and July 21 !
just two days ago was 24 months and Nov, 2.
what a mishmash!

they regretted and changed back the processing time and updating date of FSW to 21 months and July 21 !
just two days ago was 24 months and Nov, 2.

they updated it on Nov., 2 to 24 months. but they changed their mind and posted the last update (July 26 2011-21 months). I think they will come up with the new information next week. hold your finger crossed for less than 24.

Envelope dated Nov 02, 2011)) after e-cas update on Oct 27 - that was fast)
just regular mail, no emails
sent from buffalo, so my file was reviewed there
interview waived!

It looks like the cases that were held back at Buffalo are getting MRs and transferred cases are being scrutnized.

It seems that all the offices (including buffalo) are working on processing the application before June 2010. Buffalo not only transfers files to other local office, but also processes application at the same time.

That is good news. I guess most of us will get MR before 2012. But there is no "first come, first service" order. Sigh,,, All we can do is pray and wait.

Vermas, I think you could at least get MR in this month. Don't be worry...

i just happened to check my application! turns out my file has been transferred to New york office! is that office faster or slower than buffalo?

We received your application for permanent residence on February 8, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 18, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the New York office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the New York office on March 24, 2010. The New York office may contact you.

We transferred your application to the New York office on November 3, 2011. The New York office may contact you.

The fact is now Buffalo has also started issuing MRs for MI-1 cases remaining with them. Buffalo and NY seem to be on the same page now.
