Buffalo - 2nd AOR between 15th April to 15th May

Thanks for the nice info. Now question is if I go for adv. Medical in December 2011, it will be valid for 1 year and I am very positive that within that time frame, most of us (I am sure all of us) will get the visas.

I also know cons about doing advance medical like, one will get less time for landing etc. What's your suggestion? And if I am not wrong you did the adv. Medical, whats your ecas status says?

actually I did not do advanced Meds ... it was druid2010 ... I was thinking about it in April/May but then I decided to wait and I got MR on May 19

druid2010 was in canada and I was concerned adv. med might not work with DMPs in US ... at that time Buffalo had not posted this FAQ page (the link that I provided) ... probably it was put up somewhere around June or July

personally I would wait for MR ... but if you still decide to go for advanced, I'd suggest you consult with zulkfal and/or other seniors on the forum

my ecas status is exactly the same since August 5, 2010 ... In Process with "We started processing your application on August 5, 2010" as the last line in the details

I was hoping it would at least show "medicals received" by now but it hasn't ... now I rely more on status from email enquiry to buffalo ... they are telling me "we have requested information from other government offices" which shows I'm past the medicals received stage

well the Buffalo reply I get is the one I started getting 2 weeks after my meds reached Ottawa (when the meds were accessible to Buffalo) ... before that I also got the same reply that you got


however there is another canned reply that Buffalo gives which has the phrase "we make sure we meet and not exceed immigration levels ... we stagger the review ... we do not anticipate to process ... blah blah blah ... " which is for applications that Buffalo would most likely look at in 2012

since you did not get that canned reply, it's likely that they would look at your application in 2011 ... though what they do when they look at your application is anyone's guess ...

Thanks and sorry for the confusion. Now I think I will wait for january 2012. Do you think that our cases will finalized within 21 months as mentioned in the cic website?? Because my 21 month waiting period will end on December 5th 2011.

Any suggestion regarding above issue.

Re: 1st AOR, so sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else. Can't find any recent posts about my question, all I found were posts way back 2007 and 2008. Maybe they have a new policy now.

Anyway, my question is...

Since we have a lawyer, will our 1st AOR be sent to them via snail mail or the VO (Buffalo) will send it via email since we provided it?

Our application was received on July 4 and CC encashed on July 20, 2011.

Hi, I think you posted at the wrong place. We are pre-June-2010 applicants, our 2nd Aor is between 15th Apr to 15th May of 2010 rather than 2011.

You are post-June-2010 applicant, and you filed your application in 2011. I don't think we can answer your questions.

CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of applications throughout the year.

We do not anticipate that we will begin to process federal skilled worker applications from February 2010 during the current calendar year.
