my address disappeared today ... third time (first it was in March, second time it was in June)

something cooking ... or just a system glitch

Hi danhass,

My address also disappeared 4 days ago. I have been told by an immigration lawyer that Buffalo VO is in the process of changing from an old database system to a new database system where they keep our files. I think it is just a glitch in the system and it does not indicate anything.

Take it easy.

this thread is for buffalo applicants and our opinion won't probably help you..

I sent one email to Buffalo 2 days ago. Here is the answer:

"CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of applications throughout the year.

We do not anticipate that we will begin to process federal skilled worker applications from February 2010 during the current calendar year."

Hi, I think you can respond them and ask why other offices still offer MR this year, like Hong Kong, Beijing and so forth. Immigration Policy should apply every office rather than Buffalo office only. It is quite unreasonable to stagger buffalo office applicants only!

Maybe it could remind them that their strange timeline is unwelcome.

I checked my Ecas just now, changed to "In Process" but same info inside. I am happy at this moment, at least I know they are working on my file.

Good luck to all you guys. :P

Hi guys,
This perhaps is the final update from me. After giving landing in May 2011, I have finally moved to Canada. We drove a Uhaul 20 footer full of hour house hold from US and brought along our old cars. I resigned fro my job in Singapore and am yet to explore the Canadian market. I have been told that if you have north American qualification and experience, things aren't too bad... As soon as I have arrangement for my 3 year old daughter's day care I shall be testing the waters. I am currently in down town Toronto but will be moving to Mississauga soon.
This forum has been a great support all the way.
Thanks everybody!
I wish best of luck to all friends who are still waiting..!
Regards,
Atif

Congratulations Atif.Ayub and best wishes for your future endeavors!

I see you did meds on Dec 17 ... could you tell us when did your meds reach Ottawa?

secondly, did you live/visit various countries in the last 5 to 7 years? cz that likely increases the time duration of security checks? (I only lived in my home country and US and my security checks are still going more than 3 months after my meds reached Ottawa)

Thanks
