Buffalo - 2nd AOR between 15th April to 15th May

Hi all, my status change to in Process in may 2011 but when I sent the case specific inquiry to the buffalo in november 2010 and in reply they told met at my application is in process. So, it's more than 8 months since my file is in process. Is it advisable to send case specific inquiry to buffalo again???

I can understand your feelings.... My case status got updated in Sept 2010 to In Process, when I send CSI in mid May 2011, I got reply that, my case is in In Process, and they don't have more info to tell. I was quite discouraged with that reply, but in 1 weeks, I got medical. When person had replied to me, meanwhile VO had sent me the medical which I got after 8 days from posting..... so their reply does not match to what's going on with file. You may also get same reply.

If you have not applied for CAIPS in last 8 months, then you can apply for CAIPS. If you have already applied for CAIPS in last 8 months, then I would suggest to wait.

There is no hard and fast rule to wait for 8 months, but it is a suggestion from senior members.

After a medical examination with the Designated Medical Practitioner, the results are sent to our medical office to review. The medical office then sends their assessment to our visa section.

This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).

my medicals reached Ottawa June 13 ... which means it's going to be until Sep 13 earliest before there is hope for any progress on my case ...

P.S.: the page also says "cannot take medicals without receiving instructions" ... the buffalo VO website layout is updated, red warning blocks (regarding delays due to new computer systems) are gone ... it looks more informative in general

I am on same side, my medical reached their on 27th June.
But nothing is in our hand so be relaxed and be happy that even it is taking time but things are positive.

Today got Medical request for my daughter and receipt for RPRF+Dependent payment from Buffalo. My daughter's meds have already received by RNH-Ottawa on 24th May. it was really quick, buffalo received docs on 17th May, issued medicals on 20th May. Now wait for PPR starts.

Did you get any receipt once you RPRF bank check was en-cashed? My RPRF was reached to VO on 8th June, but I did not get such thing. or by receipt for RPRF you meant request for RPRF.

They didn't asked me for any PCC, they sent me a receipt 20th of May, confirming the payment for RPRF+$150 for dependent.

We are family of 3 but I sent 490+490 RPRF for me & my spouse, not for my 3 yr. old kid.

I have not got any receipt for RPRF

They normally don't, I think they just do it in some cases as in my case they sent my medical forms for my daughter after I submitted money order.

Hi Pooja,
My friend recd 2nd AOR on June 2011, and now it will take 5-6 weeks for medicals. Once they will ask for the medicals, you recd the mail and your attorney. Then you re done with the worry.
