Hi,

My mom applied online for visit visa in the month of September, but when we check the status online it shows as below:

Application Status : Cancelled

Final Decision: Not Started

Clicking on "Cancelled" it shows as ""Cancelled" means that, before a final decision was made, we determined that we did not need to process your application. This could be due to one of the following reasons:
•an administrative error was made and your application needs to be re-created by us, or
•we determined that you do not need the status/document for which you applied."

And when I click "Not Started" it shows as below: ""Not started" means that we have not yet made a final decision."
It been almost a month nothing change in status.

I emailed to delhi immigartion and did inquiry about case but no reply yet.


Can you please suggest what could be the situation here.. I am so confused about it.

You'll have to wait for a reply from NDVO as you have contacted them very recently.

You may have to re-submit a new application or provide additional documents (if the visa office requests it), etc

You'll have to wait. There could be a delay due to Diwali holidays.

I am still waiting and have not heard anything from CIC not even the status changed...

All looks exactly same..

Hi Bryanna and all seniors,

I am still waiting for any updates from CIC though I have sent "Case Specific enquiry" too, but no replies yet.

Can someone please suggest what I can do here as Visit Visa Processing time is also over..

Not much anyone else here can tell you but to wait for CIC to respond. There's nothing else you can do, and this is honestly an unusual case.
