Hello everyone! I applied for a trv in July and it was rejected. The reason? I didn't show to have enough ties with my country. At that moment i was working as surgery resident in my country Venezuela and i sent all the documents required.
The next month i will start working with a Mexican company as a doctor. My contract last until nov 2018. I have my Mexican work visa and also i will need to travel a lot to different countries. My fiancé works a lot too. We want to get married this year and start the sponsorship process, and both of us will have a week off in December. Its dangerous for him and his family to travel to Venezuela, for that reason we would like to start again the trv application in order to get married in Canadá. Do you think that's a valid reason for a visa or i have a looot of chances to be rejected again? Is it better if i say we want to spend the Christmas together? Thanks for your opinion.

Just to confirm, your fiancé is Canadian?

Your working in Mexico will show even fewer ties to Venezuela, so IMO I'm not too optimistic about applying for a TRV again.

I believe it's not necessary to get married in Canada for your spousal sponsorship, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Both these purposes of visit will most likely result in TRV refusals.

1. Have you started working in Mexico already? If yes, since when? Or would you be starting work next month in Mexico + will your employer provide a leave approval letter allowing you to take time off work?

2. Have you applied + have you been granted visas for the countries which you will need to visit after you return from Canada? Can you prove that you need to travel to those countries?

3. Do you have a lease in Mexico? What other ties can you prove?

Hi Bryanna
1.- My contract starts Nov 01 with the Mexican company but we need to go first to an induction course in Panamá. So i will be living in México at the end of November. And since september I'm living in Colombia. Yes, they can prove I'm taking those days off.

2.- I need to be the 4th of january in México but i still don't know where i will need to travel when i get back. It depends of the company. At that moment i will only have the mexican work visa.

3.- My only tie is my 1 year contract.

IMO, your chances of getting a TRV are almost zero. It's best if you don't reapply.

You can get married outside Canada and then start the sponsorship process
