hi Bryanna et al,

Sorry i wasn't sure if my PM went through because I wasn't following any senior members of this group.

so I thought I'd rather post it here as a query in common

I had originally put down duration of visit from April mid week to May mid week a total of three weeks but her application was rejected. is it ok to change those dates to three months out now in the second application ?. Like July mid week. Just wanted to make sure that it’s ok and this huge change of plans and change in the itinerary is not a red flag. I have invited her over for Canada day weekend and and for Calgary stampede. How consistent does one have to be with the itinerary? Will they go back and check the previous application and find discrepancies?. I know her the success rate of her reapplication chances are less than the previous time because she’s not applying from her home country rather from US. I have almost given up hope after seeing and reading about rejections but I just wanted to try one more time because she’s come this far. Also, I’m worried about the fact when she reapplies from home country in the future her chances of getting accepted is slimmer with two prior application. Does this process gets reset after certain years and when applied from home country?.

Many thanks. You have all been a tremendous help to everyone here and thank you once again for taking the time.

Travel plans can change. Nonetheless, your mom must indicate a short-stay. In this case, her intended visit and itinerary could be from mid/end-June to maybe mid-July. She must include the confirmed plane tickets from the US to India shortly after her return to the US.

Yes, her previous application can be easily accessed. IRCC would check for any significant change in purpose of visit, length of stay, finances, previous TRV refusal grounds have been addressed, etc.

Think positively and don't lose hope. She may just get a TRV approval for her second application. It all depends on how well you prepare the paperwork.

No, all previous approvals/refusals continue to remain on record for all eternity (okay, that's maybe a bit too long LOL).... and refusals won't be expunged from the system after XX years or if someone applies from the home country. BTW these records are in an electronic document format
