British Citizen confused about medicals

Hi,

I'm a british citizen applying outland, on this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp it says this

Instructions on how to take the medical examination will normally be sent to you after you submit your application to the visa office.

but in my application pack it suggests i need to pass a medical FIRST (although there's nothing to say if i send the certificate or whatever with the app) then it says

For complete instructions about your medical examination and how to find a Panel Physician, read the Medical Instructions section in IMM 3999, Part 2: The Immigrant's Guide.

but i can't find this form anywhere.

So i'm not sure if i need to wait to be asked to take a medical exam, or that i HAVE to take one and send the result in with the rest of the application.

Notice that they want medical along with your application

Must have medical done by a dedicated panel physician (which is a real pain depending where you live)

Also must have 8 photo's of a specific size (not passport photo's but similar) You may have to find a photographer for this ( That is what I had to do)
