Bringing my Furniture to Canada

Hi,

I landed in Canada last year and unfortunately didn't fill-in/submit a list of my furniture that I had in my home country. Now I need to bring them to Canada instead of buying new furniture. Does anyone know how much tax, duties, etc will be charged? Also how do they assess the value of the furniture as I don't have the sales receipts. Thank you.

There is no need of receipt there is some fixed tax allotted. The best you can do is hire some courier service for bringing your furniture this way all the legalities will be handled smoothly by the agency and you just need to pay some amount for the service.
