No .AC has an instruction Manuel of how to prepare your dog for a flight . Make sure you find out what flight will accommodate the dog. Not all aircraft's have the cargo compartment for the animals. The silly thing is you have to book your flight then call Ac to book the dog. I would suggest if you are travelling with your dog, you check the aircraft first so you know he will be along with you . Good luck.

By the way, you should check with the airline about the crate - some airlines have a rule that the crate must be big enough for your dog to stand up and turn around in, or something. For a dog the size of yours, that could be difficult. A friend of mine was nearly rejected on the spot at the airport because his dog was too large for the crate. In the end the dog flew, but only after a big fight.

Thanks for reply guys.
I have already flown my puppy same route, but she was almost rejected for being too heavy ... the one I need to fly right now is too heavy to be booked same flight and they said needs to go via cargo. Can't be booked on my husband's flight. Needs to be sent cargo (like furniture) so just wondering if anyone has gone that route before. He is 50+ kg Rottweiler..

live cargo flights are designed only for animals not furniture. They have special heated compartments and are accommodated by a vet .I wouldn't worry . Sorry i can't hep that much .

haha if only was that easy!!

hmm, I will make some calls.. last time I called for the first dog (30kg) it was estimate $1000 for Live cargo  , so luckily she was able to come with me on same plane (underneath $300) and this dog I need to fly now is 50+kg !
and yes, I have no problem with seasonal restrictions, most planes flying LIM-->YYZ have pressured and heated cargo. So just wondering if anyone has had experience with live cargo via Aircanada/third party.
