Just wondering would it be easier to just cross the borders and get a new close work permit which will guarantee that you get the WP there and then rather than applying online for the BOWP which could takes months to approve. I have now submitted the PR application under EE in Friday and the close WP will expire on 7th Feb 2019. Please help...

You can keep working as long as you apply before your work permit expires
An open permit is obviously more flexible in the event you want to change job.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. I’m just worried that if the PR get rejected than the BOWP will be too. I have no plans in changing job as current employer has just extended the contract for another year.
Just want to hear from others who might have similar issues.
