bridging work pemit valid till march 2016 but CEC refused

hi,
i have a bridging work permit valid till march 2016 but the CEC is refused. Can i still work in Canada till 2016 or I have to leave. please provide source of your information.

You are eligible to stay / work in the province as long as you have valid workpermit, it doesn't matter it is bridge open wp / closed wp.

I am in BOWP and working for the last 6 months.

Yes, you can work legally till the date printed on your BOWP
 
i was studying too on a PGWP for the completion of my bachelors. so the work experience during the study cannot be counted towards CEC.

Don't worry. Your BOWP is not void if app got refused. I were in your situation and consulted CIC and several lawyrs. As I understood, as far as there are no specific conditions to your wp ( such as wp is automatically void when app got refused) your wp is valid. And there are no such conditions to BOWP. (Conditions for wp are mentioned on wp itself).

Since BOWP is valid for one year and yours will expire in March 2016, that means you got your BOWP only recently?

Can you share your timeline? (I will apply BOWP this month too, but no MR yet...)

From what I learnt from this forum, your status is still valid even your cec is fortunately rejected.

the bowp is recieved recently.
I applied for CEC in feb 2014 and received a refusal on march 9, 2015.
the application for bowp was applied on jan 18, 2015
