Hi,

Where are we supposed to send our bridging work permit applications to?

CIC's website contradicts itself. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp here it says CPP-Ottawa, yet the instruction guide mentions Vegreville, AB?

Thanks

I don't see the contradiction. It says TRV applications should be submitted to CPP-O but Work Permits go to Vegreville, AB.

Also, I recommend online application since it's about 3 weeks faster to process (at least right now).

Sorry, I thought anything but PR counts as temporary resident visa?
No. Per the guide,

The renewal of a study or work permit does not affect your TRV. It is your responsibility to ensure your TRV remains valid if you wish to re-enter Canada.

The TRV is what allows you to enter Canada when you travel (if you are required to have a visa). You don't need it to remain in Canada and work, you need it for when you leave and come back... You need a work permit to work.
