Hi,
I recently applied for PR status under common law sponsorship. Things are moving slow, but all seems to be good and I don't imagine we'll have too much trouble.
However, I need to get to England and back for work, 1 week after my visa expires. How do I do that whilst maintaing some sort of status?
Am I able to apply for a bridging visa through my common law application?
looking forward to hearing back.
Cheers

Are you a citizen of the UK? If so, you can just re-enter Canada as a visitor without a visa. What kind of visa is expiring? And did you apply outland or inland?

I am a citizen of Australia. Probably should've mentioned that.
It's a working holiday visa that has expired and a student visa that is expiring just before I leave.

As an Australian citizen, you can enter Canada without a visa as a visitor. You can apply to extend your stay about a month before the time you are given is up.
