1) Person applied for a BOWP whilst their EE application is pending, and whilst the BOWP application is pending too they are on "implied status"
2) Their IEC visa they were on before has expired
3) PR application was declined (for wrong police check) and have been asked to enter pool and later reapply again

Can someone tell me if their PR application was declined, if their implied status is no longer valid??
I was of the understanding it was and that they need to stop working immediately, but their lawyer tells them otherwise.

No sure about how this is going to workout but

He can for sure raise CSE (Case specific e/inquiry) and request them to not to decline the PR application with the promise that he will be able to arrange correct PCC or other required documents. chances are thin but this may work.

They may take around 7 to 10 days to reply so meanwhile he can start arranging the required document.

BOWP and PR applications are two separate applications. As long as your BOWP application is still being processed, your implied status is valid. Having said that, I would suggest submitting a PR application ASAP.

That's correct, but also need to know that there are huge possibilities he won't get the permits since he is not longer with a PR application!
