I am on a workpermit ( ICT) and my WP expires on Nov 7th. I have applied for my PR under CEC and got the AOR.
I am planning to apply for Bridging open workpermit online.

As per hte checlist, we need the offer letter.

does it mean the reference letter from the company in which i am working or is it a deputation letter.

You don't need an offer letter for the BOWP. In the questionnaire, when it asks about an offer letter/offer of employment, say "no", even if you do have a job offer. The offer letter isn't a requirement of the BOWP, and your application shouldn't ask for it to be uploaded.

While applying BOWP, dependents(who are in visitor status) should be requested for restoration of Status or any other category.

Which option should i choose form the below.

1. Extension of my temporary resident status
2. restoration of temp resident status as visitor

Please advice.

Apply for your BOWP first, and after it's approved you can submit temporary resident status extension application for your dependents, but make sure it's submitted before their current permit expires. You have enough time to do that till November. That's what I did and received my son's Visitor record today in the mail. You will need to provide a copy of your BOWP as part of the application, so CIC knows for how long to extend your dependents visitor records. Also if you have a minor dependent ( under 16 y.o.) you can submit his/her application online using your MyCIC account ( convinient and fast). Hope this helps.
