If they approve, well and good but if they don't then they may cancel my current PR application
Why would they cancel your PR application as you are still in your current job. I've applying via a lawyer and next week I'm going to speak to him about it all. I will ask the question, what if BC-PNP turn down the request as its something I need to know too. Once I have answer I'll post a replay.

I hope to find a job that is more of a Sr level and a more money as I found out I'm being very under paid in my current role.

Good luck finding a new job and I'm sure BC-PNP will approve your next role.

The more I think about this the more I'm thinking I should site tight and wait for PR. I'm only 4 months away from PR as my status has just turned to In-Process.

I'm wondering how long from job offer to BC-PNP & CIC saying yes will take and would the new company wait that long. If it take 2 weeks for the 'yes' then hand my notice in, which another 2 weeks, would the company wait 4 weeks.

Thanks. I will wait for your post.

I believe I have to leave my current employer, accept the new job and then only I can submit new employer's papers for reassessment. If my new employer doesn't qualify or if it doesn't satisfy BC-PNP officer for some reason then they may cancel my nomination and further my PR application.
As i said before, reassessment will further delay my current PR application process. That is something I don't want.

I hope your lawyer finds a way out for people like us who are in this situation.

Thanks again!!

If we both sit tight its going to feel so much better when we get PR.

Guys an advise. Don't make any hasty decisions. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER. This may effect your PR. It means approval from your province before you change the employer. You can always look for better prospects once you have your PR. Have any of your received your Medical requests yet or request for any additional papers? If yes then wait for another 2-3 months and you'll soon get a PPT request.

The more I think about this visa the more of a risk it seems. I'll have this new visa the start of Dec and I have, so I've been told 3 months to change jobs, which is Feb time and as my PR app is In-Process and they have my Med results I hope PR will be 3 months away.

I'll speak to my lawyer next week and fully understand it.

I'd reiterate what has been said before and not leave your current employment. The BOWP was mainly put into place for the lost buffalo applicants and how it applies to Employer driven PNP applicants has not been very well thought out by CIC.
Your PR application is being process solely on the basis of your joint application to the province from you and your Current employer. Whilst it is possible to change jobs after nomination all the same selection and eligibility criteria must be met by the new employer.
Lez you seem to understand how this works but alot of others seem to believe that as they have a PR application in progress that once they have their BOWP they can simply up and leave their job which is in effect sponsoring them. This is not the case. Legally as the BOWP is open yes you can change jobs, but the Province is well within there right to withdraw your nomination if either you don't inform them of the employer changer or if the new job offer is not eligible.

If you really Can't take it any longer at your current job then it would be wise to find out if your new prospective employer has put anyone else through the pnp recently. At least that way you can get an idea if the employer is eligible something which is beyond your control.

Best of luck

You make a good post here. I do want to leave asap, but not at the risk of having my PR turned down. If my dream job comes up then I will apply for it and make sure its everything PNP wants, but until then I'll sit and wait for PR.

All you need to make sure is you get a Full Time Permanent Offer from an employer who meets the eligibility criteria set by the respective provinces for their nomination.

I am from NL and here the people at the PNP office are very cooperative and understanding.

I met with a company last week who I'm really interested in working for. I asked if they have anyone on PNP already because if they have I would guess the company would have the eligibility criteria.
