Hi guys,

I am looking to apply for an open work permit/visa. I have received an AOR and have been requested to send copies of my CELPIP certificate, my background check is in process and my medical is passed:

Application/profile status- Open
Review of eligibility- Review in Progress
Review of medical results- Passed
Review of submitted documents- Provided
Scheduling an interview- Not needed at this time
A background check is needed- In Progress
Final decision- Not Started

I am just wondering at what point, and how do I know when the r10 completeness check is done, and at what point am I able to apply for an open work permit?

Thanks in advance

Paddy

Once the Eligibility is set to Pass, consider that an Completeness check . If you apply for BOWP it will be held until the R10 check in the GCMS is set to ok.

Thats awesome. Thank you. Also once the checks are complete, any idea how long the BOWP takes to be processed?

Thanks

Would anybody know how long it takes for the R10 completeness check after the PR application has been submitted ?

I have applied for bowp on 21 st November. I got my gcms notes recently according to that my R10 is set to OK on 26 th January. I called cic agent today about status of the BOWP as they are processing December application now , the agent told me that its on hold I could not understand what could be the reason. I submitted AOR later through case specific enquiry and the agent told me its attached to my application on Feb 10. What could have caused hold on BOWP.
Any views on this?

They hold/cancel all work permit applications if your PR application has decision made (or going to finalize soon)
So I guess congratulations! Your PR is at final stages and you will here a good news soon 8)

No that is wrong , remember the applicant is till temporary resident till he lands using copr.
So approving PR application dosen't stop the WP application being processed . there are many ppl in this forum who has got WP in between copr and landing
