BRIDGING OPEN WORK PERMIT - DEC 2012 ONWARDS

I called CIC today. I was about to submit my BOWP application today.They said the AOR that I received will not considered as a positive eligibility decision. They suggested me to contact the Intake Office-Sydnet to learn if I have passed this eligibility.

I can not find the email adress of Sydney office. I am thinking to email to CPP_O.
I was wondering what happened with your case.

Either the call centre agent did not have the most recent information or did not properly understand your question. AOR is exactly what is both required and sufficient.

I have a question, please help if you can. Do you know if my spouse (she is on study permit) can apply for bridging open work permit, we received AOR in 2011. I called the call center and they said that if we applied and got positive eligibility Review we both are qualified for bridging open work permit. Though on cic it says only those that have valid work permit.

Eligiblity will be determined based on the status of the principal applicant (PA). If the PA has a valid permit that is expiring within 4 months, and has the AOR for a CEC application, the PA is eligible for the open work permit. A spouse would be eligible as a spouse.

According to the OB of BOWP,

"The open WP is to be valid for the duration of one year from the date of issuance. Although the PR application should normally be finalized within a year, subsequent requests from applicants to extend their stay on an open WP will be considered on a case-by-case basis"

I want to share a good news with you all.
I applied for BOWP on Feb 27, 2013 online. My original work permit expired on Dec14, 2012 and I couldn't extend it at that time cause I didn't have LMO. So I applied for the study permit- Which I was approved on Feb28, 2013.

I applied for BOWP on Feb 27, 2013 with (restoration fee + application fee) - I got it today in my mail..

I got inspired for GHboy and went ahead and applied..
I was also told by the call center that you can't apply and all that blah blah but I still did..
and here I am - I got it..

Was Feb 27, 2013 the application date for BOWP or was it the date when you sent the app thru mail?

I guess I may have to apply as well. I will need your help to fill in the forms. MY WP is expiring on Oct 7 and I plan to apply by June End.

I have got two application in progress.

1. CEC - Applied in Jan 12.
2. FSW2 - Applied in June 2011.

I am not sure if I will be lucky with anyone before July.

What do you think guys?

Just for my knowledge, what is key differentiating factor between CEC and FSW2. Just wondering if I can as well apply under FWS with noc 2171..

It will be greatful if you could answer my questions or provide a solution

My current WP expires in Jan 2014, my PR application package is received by Nova Scotia on March 12th 2013, still waiting for Acknowledgement#. My understanding was I should be able to apply for Open WP as soon as I get the Ack#, and can change job immediately after applying like with proof of payment receipt.

Called CIC and they said untili I receive Open WP document, I cannot work with another employer or switch jobs.

My question is -
Am I eligible to apply for BOWP?
If yes, can I start working with new employer as soon as i applied for BOWP?
What is the maximum duration to receive Ack# from Nova Scotia from the day of applicaiton received

Please let me know if you need more details to answer these questions....

1. not now, you can apply for bomp within 4 months of your Wp expiration date.

3. there is no really specific time, for some applicants 2 months while others more than 5 months but as average 3-4 months.

Sorry to ask may be repeated question that been asked before on this thread

1) My WP is expiring in Aug 30th. And Im planning to apply in April end for Open BWP.
2) I already have AOR for my PR status under CEC as Recieved. I hope its enough and Im not going to call the Call Center to get wrong information as I read this thread
3) Online process where we upload forms has Optional Documents. Where do I get those especially Add Schedule 1?
4) I dont need LMO in my case (Intra-Compnay) and Im continue to work with same employer - Is there any suggestion what I should be describing in the letter?
