Hi all,
So my situation is that I am just about to have everything done for my EE profile (I am applying under FSW class) i.e. just waiting for language test (CELPIP General) and ECA results. I think I should have a good amount of points, 500 or so. I am also currently employed as a college professor in mathematics in BC but don't have an LMIA and won't get one.
SO: I need a working Visa by September to keep my job (I have the summer holidays starting next month whoooooop), and my current IEC working holiday visa expires on 25 June in two months. I need to:
a) have my PR and work visa come through by then or
b) apply for a BOWP before my current visa ends
I want to rely on the latter option as I wouldn't have to anxiously wait about the summer to see whether the first option turns out well. With that in mind: If I sent through my express entry profile, would I be able to apply for a BOWP within 2 months and get it? I am told that I HAVE to have a current working visa to get a BOWP. As I understand it I have to wait for the R-10 check (apparently you are not notified when it has passed this check point??) on my application.
Can someone give information on
1) if they think this is do-able, and
2) if the R-10 check is for my EE profile or can only start once you have been picked out of the pool and given an ITA
Also on another point if
3) Even though I have a job offer but no LMIA, under the intended work in Canada when it is asked if so-and-so has a job offer in Canada do I just click 'no', or should I click 'yes' and on the extended section where it asks about the job offer click 'no' under whether the offer is supported by an LMIA
It seems crazy that I've got this good job but might just be shit-outta-luck with being able to keep it so
4) are there any other options!?
Thanks in advance!
Raoul
