Perfect thanks. You are the first person I saw who got their bowp approved using express entry and applying after May 20. May 20 was the date when they updated bowp eligibility requirements on their website.

You wrote a letter of explanation too right?
Hi Olrdude, I didn't... just attached the first AOR. My theory (and this is just a theory, nothing proved) is that they are able to access your EE file and check by themselves. Since it takes too long to process the BOWP my EE made enough progress to convice them to approve the BOWP.

Hey Congrats on receiving your BOWP. I am in process of applying BOWP,Do you mind if i ask you couple questions?

How much is the fee for BOWP? is it $155 (work permit) or $100 (open work permit) or both?

In application to change condition IMM5710, question 3: I am applying for one or more of the following: is the answer "a work permit with the same employer or temporary resident permit or should i select both"

Thanks
Hi sheen,
The fee is $155 + $100 = 255 per person.
Well since I applied for an open work permit I marked only "An Initial work wermit or a work permit with a new employer"

Hi Micbm,

Regarding the req.

To be eligible for a bridging open work permit, you must:

Currently be in Canada;
Have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within 4 months;
Have received confirmation from CIC that your permanent resident application is eligible under one of the four economic classes (FSWP, CEC, PNP and FSTP), and;
Have made an application for an open work permit.

What does it mean? Do I need to make a separate application for open work permit before applying for BOWP? If yes, then do I need to provide LMIA from my employer (not sure if they will provide one)?

Current situation:
I am on PGWP.
I have received AOR.

Any help in this matter is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Also what should we fill in?

Page 3:

What type of work permit are you applying for?

Should we put: Other and mention BOWP in explain or should we select open work permit.

Hello guys,
I am filling the BOWP application, I have a question concerning "Details of Intended Work in Canada" in the IMM5710 form.
I have got BCPNP nomination with my current job and have submitted the PR application under EE PNP stream.
Do I need to indicate the detailed information of my current employer in the IMM5710? I saw on a thread that someone suggest NOT to indicate a specific employer.
I hope someone can give me some advice.

Thank you in advance. :)
Did you get an answer for this query? I am also confused.

I am applying by Paper, did you send yours to Immigration office in Alberta or Ottawa?
I have sent to the one in Alberta, CPC - Vegreville.

To be honest I don't know what it means. I was in a PGWP and had an AOR, sounds like the same situation as you are.
I applied for an OPEN WORK PERMIT, without LMIA, but you must do it before the permit expires.

In the section "DETAILS OF INTENDED WORK IN CANADA" I have filled the information of my current employer and did not provide a LMIA number since I did not have one.

Hope that helps

You can keep working at the same employer ( implied status ) until you get the result of BOWP.

Thanks so much for your help!
My situation is, am here in Canada with a closed work permit for an employer with LMIA and my work permit will expire in December. There is no new LMIA from my employer to extent my work permit after dedcember, in this situation whether i can apply for BOWP (I have submitted my application for PR on July 15 (AOR).
If so, first I have to apply for an open work permit without LMIA? then BOWP with 1st AOR?
Please help and suggest me on this. Thank you.

Clear and simple..since you have aor in july..by december you will have decision on your pr...if you appky bowp today..it will take more than 3 and half months yo process which is mid if january..sunce you will have decision on pr earlier..there is no use of applying bowp..you should have applied on july or aug... current paper based processing time is 111 days..online is above 130 days..
