I have applied for bridge open work permit on Jan 5th. Has anyone got bridge open work permit? This work permit is new for everyone, so was wondering if anyone has got work permit under this category?

Hi

Yesterday I applied for bridging open work permit.
I was wondering about the third page. They asked for the information of your employer. I don't know if I'm right but I just fill it with the information of my actual employer. I hope that is right.

I did fill out the 3rd page with the details of my current employer....i don't think that will be an issue.

what is bridge open work permit? Can you explain it or where is it located?

Bridge work permit is for those who are currently on a work permit and have applied for a permanent residence and have got a positive response from CIC and need to renew the work permit. Under this category, they don't require LMO for renewal of the work permit.

Hello friends,
I applied for PR under express entry , CEC.
I am applying for Bridging open work permit.
I am not sure if the form is right or wrong . I am currently working in Canada.
It shows, Application for visitor visa ( temporary resident visa) made outside of Canada IMM 5257 form required .

Please confirm is it right form ? am I on right page ?

Hi All--Greetings!!!

I have my work permit valid till May 2023 and my employer says we have work only till feb'23. So, in order to continue my work in Canada I'm thinking to apply for the bridging open work permit. Is it a good idea to proceed with?

or

After applying for PR, in case if I had to return to home country. Will that be a problem?

Please help me with these questions.
