I am a student here in Vancouver BC and doing my internship that is integral part of my degree. My internship ends on Jan 31, 2014 and the same day my study, internship and off- campus work permit expires.
I had applied for bridge extension assuming that I'll get 90 days to apply for my post graduation work permit. But when I got my permit it says valid till March 31, 2013 that means 59 days only and it also says in force from Dec 22, 2013. As already mentioned, my first permit expires on Jan 31, 2014.
59 days might be enough for me to apply for PGWP, but thinking is this something I should be concerned about as to why I have been given lesser time. My friend applied with me and got full 90 days.
I am thinking can there be an error from the CIC officer in this regard? If I call CIC, will I be able to get any information regarding this? Would calling them have any negative impact?
Please help me out in this regards.
Thank you.
