Gentlemen

The new NOC list does not reflect what occupation will be capture but we should all expect bombshell by June 2012.

Congrats to those who has filed their application.

For example, NOC 1122 has been split in two sections. Now advertising, marketing and public relations occupations are under NOC 1123 http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=1123

Nobody can tell if it's going to be placed on new eligible NOC list in July 2012.

That's right. It is possible with split NOC's that they will put both of them on the list now after the changes but with NOC 1122 it does not matter at this time because the CAP was full anyway.

What happens in July is anybody's guess. They will go by who they feel they need. It is possible that 1122 and 1123 will both be on the list then or one of them or neither.

I guess now they are working on more detailed manpower requirement, so split in NOC codes as well as to keep the cap at 500 but have more application to get the system cost.

Changes in NOC codes does not add much to any thing ... its just that with the passage of time the defination of jobs changes or add some thing to it. This needs to be incorporated in the NOC list and they have done the same. Its just an increase in the NOC list in sub limits and few people might get benefit of it by enhance in defination of NOC code.

This does not forcast any thing about furture NOC requirments, just would give few extra job description to apply under FSW1.

CIC website has updated for changed NOC codes as below

On January 31, 2012, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Statistics Canada replaced the 2006 edition of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) with a 2011 version. For the purposes of the Federal Skilled Worker Program list of eligible occupations, new applicants are advised to refer to the HRSDC website for the latest job descriptions and duties for each NOC.

CIC will assess FSW applications received at the Centralized Intake Office before January 31, 2012 according to the old NOC system as they were the conditions under which the candidate applied.

CIC is examining the impact the NOC changes will have on immigration programs and will publish updates as soon as they become available.

I don't think anything will change for cooks except the code. I think it is very unlikely that they take cooks from the list right now just because the code changed.

HELLO FRIENDS,

IN RELATION TO THIS CIC HAS POSTED ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT "On January 31, 2012, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Statistics Canada replaced the 2006 edition of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) with a 2011 version. SO ACCORDING TO ME IT IS IMPLEMENTED FROM 31ST JANUARY, 2012.

I'm applying for CSQ under 5124, which is now 1123. Not sure if I can receive CSQ before 1 July 2012. If 1123 is on the eligible list by that time, should I apply under FSW or should I keep waiting for my CSQ process?
