Re: Dubai applicant 2008: awaits long for medical update

Hi,

Thanks for your update. I've applied under same category in June 2008 and completed my medical Nov 30, 2009. Till now, I've not heard any update except "your case awaits background review" last 6 months' back as received by my agency from CIC.

Can anyone advise me whether 16months waiting period is normal, as I've already paid and sent Landing fees to CIC via my agency. What really should I do now except waiting?

Due to larger visa application inventories, there is a temporary hold on processing of FSW applications submitted with NOC 4131- College and Other Vocational Instructors & 0213- Computer and Information Systems Managers.

Based on June 26, 2010 priority NOCs, CHC London will continue to expedite processings of FSW Fast Track (Pre June 26, 2010) and SAP FSW applications submitted during July-October 2007 until the publishing of new priority list which may come out in late 2nd quarter of 2011.

CHC London has already been started to sending out medical instructions since March 14, 2011.

There is a concurrent processings of Islamabad FSW applications at CHC London in the same work pattern.

I hope this information is of assistance to all of you.

This makes no sense. Pre-June-26 applicants will get priority based on Post-June-26 priorities, but post-June-26 applications themselves will not?

Nectar will never reply saying where he gets this information from - so you have to decide for yourself how much of it is true and how much of it he makes up.

This is what is so infuriating about Nectar.

He spouts his "breaking news" as though this is all official - and worries and stresses out a lot of people, but is never able to provide any source for his information.

Although from the language he uses I do not doubt that he has SOME information from CHC London (he perhaps has a friend who works there or something) I believe the true information he gets is very sketchy and that he fills in all the blanks himself. If this is his "speculation" then he should say so instead of pretending it is official and worrying a lot of London applicants.

Two post-June-26 London applicants that we know of have already got medical requests, which completely contradicts what Nectar is saying about post-June-26 applicants at London not getting a look in until October 2011.

My best advice is to ignore Nectar and instead rely on official sources of information from CIC and from visa offices.

I am 4131 and my time line is similar to yours. I thought i was the only , good i have someone with a time line similar to mine. Have you ordered Caips already to know what is the problem? I did ordered it already and i had an idea why it is delayed so just waiting to hear from them.

I thinks that processing will be faster than ever in future because of very lower arrival rate of new applicants. Remember that that the basic purpose of post june immigration rules changes was defined to reduce the back log and to process new application quicker than ever.
They are achieving the target to process new applications quicker than ever. After finishing the processing of fewer new applications they will definitely have plenty of time to clear back log. However which back log will be processed first it is not clear yet. I think they are waiting for the new immigration policy by new upcoming goverment.

However the situation may be , I am sure that they will definitely fullfil their official promise of faster processing and faster clear of back log.
