"And in my opinion, given todays news I beleive this wont happen in the near future. I think that if they didnt change the NOC's and they simply reduced the quota they are simply trying to clear backlog at the time." that it what it says there.
"Lets wait and see next week if they are any other changes to current regulations." - let's see.

Hi Slavasz,
Long time, we have waited so lon, hope this time around we will finally be fitted into the visa quota.
I agree with you.

hopefully it will be good for us.

At the end of this news from 24.06.2011. they say:

"The CIC website will be updated on July 1, 2011, with details on application requirements and procedures for affected programs."

So this means that we can't send our application before we see new requirements. We have to wait. Except for those who have high education, high English, less than 35 years of age and more than 4 years of experience (in total more than 75 points), because we don't know how will they reduce points after 01. July. Moreover, who knows if there will be some new document requirements.

NEW RULES FOR NEXT YEAR

Same 29 occupations as before, except they are limiting to 500 per NOC (with maximum 10,000) - so half the number of FSW1 as 2010-2011!

The good news is that with even less intake for 2011-2012, they will have more capacity with which to tackle pre-June-2010 applications.

VERY GOOD NFWS...............................

great news buddy
hopefully the things may turn around for good
pre-june applicants have awaited alot..
it's likely that cic gonna clear the backlog

This is very good news for the applicants in back log including pre june 26. As it will help VO to give time to the applicants which were on hold. A very good decision taken by CIC though bit late

The changes will not affect the number of permanent resident admissions in 2011 in these three categories.

S this clearly means in near future CIC is seriously looking for to reduce the backlog

thanks for sharing this news Wayne,

its been so long time we've waited for this news, will look up for some good news/changes in our cases in coming weeks.

thanks

OHM

I think this is bad news, as they would give priority to the post June 2011 applicants and with less number of immigration approvals (500 each) old applicants will be at a loss.
But this is my opinion

what you guys think if there is no changes in points system and selection section then why cic said.

The CIC website will be updated on July 1, 2011, with details on application requirements and procedures for affected programs.

its a good news...and a ray of hope for all applicants..

Thanks for sharing the news........however if there's such a backlog, then hire more immigration officers! Canada would benefit from embedding these skilled workers into their economy as soon as possible

It's a good thing I just registered for my IELTS test on the 9th of July

500 means application to be accepted not visa to be granted.
