It is almost close..third reading & Royal Assent.

I am not much knowledgeable in Laws and timing but comparing the timeline, I am hoping something in few days or maximum 1 month.

It's not almost close at all. Senator Omidavar wants to tack on an amendment about revocations (which everyone here seems to be cheering for) that means the bill will not pass and will go back to the House of Commons to go through all 3 readings and a committee stage again. She was given the chance to put her amendment into it's own bill so c-6 could pass, but she said no. It had to be done this way.

Good luck with it ever passing the House again if it goes back.

You are totally incorrect, if amended, it wont go all three stages + committee stages, you may follow Bill C-6: Senate stage thread.

The point is it will be a very long process, and there's a chance they could delay a vote there for a long time.

Incomplete application

Hello Guys,

Good day!

My application was returned as incomplete in 2015 just before rules changed and we are eligible at this month end with the current rules.

In this context, I have a question.

In the application form CIT 0002, what do I choose for Question # 2 (I have applied for Canadian citizenship before) "Yes or No. and When?"

Thanks,
Satya.

Best to focus on your life and try to qualify under current criteria.
Watching and worrying about this bill is stupid.
Not worth getting anxious over it.

YUP VERY TRUE....ANYWAYS IT'S ALMOST OUR TIME ANYWAYS.. SO IT DOESN'T MATTER THOUGH...

1, As your application was returned as incomplete, and not processed, you can answer No. But I would put in an explanation and then you have covered all your bases.

Re: Incomplete application

Hi everybody,

I had been studying in Canada for 6 years before being a permanent resident. I got my PR status on September 2015, so I am living in Canada as a permanent resident for approximately 1 year and 7 month. If the Bill C-6 is effective, would I be eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship? Thank you for your reply! :)
